English Numbers

There are three common types of English numbers:

*     cardinal (showing quantity)

       For example: There are three apples.

*     ordinal (showing order)

      For example: I am the third in lin

*     nominal (showing identity)

      For example: Take route 3 to get to the mall. (3 is the name of a bus route)
